Food at Ranarpskvarn
We work together with Eden van den Bogaard (who works under the moniker The Source) to provide special menus designed to your needs, while working with local farms and small producers to create nutritious and healthy meals during your stay. After working internationally in cities like Amsterdam and Berlin, Eden has settled here in Skåne and is dedicated to inspire others to eat seasonally and support local farmers. Her work combines practices of seasonal eating and a variety of influences and cultures to create a special culinary experience. The ingredients used are organic, seasonal and local whenever available.
If you’d rather get catering from an external source, we’ve previously collaborated with restaurant Gardeners, which provides fresh, local foods based on produce and ingredients from their own gardens.

Bjärehalvön - Sweden’s national pantry
Ranarpskvarn is nestled in Bjärehalvön, one of Sweden's most densely populated farming areas. This peninsula serves as a veritable national pantry, playing a crucial role in the country's food production. The unique microclimate and fertile soils of Bjärehalvön make it an ideal location for agriculture, supporting a rich variety of crops and produce.
Come spring and summer, Bjärehalvön transforms into a lush landscape brimming with an abundance of fresh produce. From crisp vegetables and berries to aromatic herbs, the area produces a cornucopia of flavors that find their way to tables across Sweden. This agricultural abundance not only ensures a steady supply of fresh, locally-sourced ingredients for our kitchen at Ranarpskvarn but also offers our guests a unique opportunity to experience the rhythm of rural Swedish life.
